The refurbishment proposal for the TATA warehouse in Tanzania involved transforming the existing facility into a warehouse cum showroom. The project aimed to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the warehouse to meet the specific requirements of TATA. The refurbished warehouse included two showrooms, a truck showroom, and storage space for various products such as chemicals, agro items, glass, healthcare products, and spare parts. Additionally, the facility incorporated office spaces, workshops, and other support areas.
One of the key aspects of the refurbishment was the reconfiguration of the entry points. All entries, including customer entry, office entry, and inbound-outbound storage, were strategically planned on one side of the warehouse. This layout improved security measures and facilitated better segregation and organization of different types of storage. Moreover, a dedicated entry-exit point was designed specifically for customs-bound warehouses.
The proposal also focused on maximizing the storage volume capacity by optimizing the overall footprint of the warehouse. The plinth area was increased to accommodate the desired storage capacity. Furthermore, the appearance of the warehouse was enhanced with a new facade design, giving it a fresh and updated look. The planning of the refurbishment project took into consideration Vastu consultation, ensuring compliance with traditional Indian principles of architecture and design.
Overall, the refurbishment proposal aimed to create a functional, secure, and visually appealing warehouse cum showroom for TATA in Tanzania, meeting their specific operational requirements while adhering to design principles and optimizing the use of space.
