The Mahatma Gandhi International Confernce Center, located in Niamey, the capital city of Niger, is a modern and functional venue seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape. Designed to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, this state-of-the-art convention center serves as a versatile meeting place capable of accommodating 3,300 guests.

Equipped with top-of-the-line features and facilities, including a Presidential Block (385 guests), Plenary Hall (2000 guests), Multi-function meeting and Banquet hall (600 guests), and Administration and Ministers’ Block, the MGICC was constructed within a remarkable timeframe of 14 months.

The design of the conference center draws inspiration from the local culture, traditions, art, crafts, architecture, tribes, geographical features, wildlife, vegetation, national flag, and coat of arms. By incorporating these elements, the building reflects a sense of local identity while offering a global experience. The Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Center serves as a gathering space for dignitaries from various African nations, fostering collaboration and dialogue among the continent’s leaders.
